From the car park, follow the normal yellow hiking trail signs to "Allewinde", from there follow the white "Hulftegg Rundweg" signs.
At Alp Rüti, turn right at the wooden barn (photo below).
Since January 2022, the path has also been maintained and prepared in winter.

Easy walks
There are two options for walkers, each taking around 45 - 60 minutes there and back. One to Buchenhorn (turn right at the top of the pass, tarmac road), the other to Aelpli (turn left at the top of the pass, gravel road). Both are suitable for strollers.

Hulftegg - Atzmännig high trail
Part of the Toggenburg High Trail.
Hulftegg - Hörnli. The classic, approx. 1 hour. The last 20 minutes are a strenuous climb to the summit. Restaurants on the Hulftegg & on the Hörnli.
Hulftegg - Schnebelhorn, approx. 2 hours. In the video below you can see some impressions of the hike.
The Gasthaus Hulftegg as well as the restaurants Tierhag, Sennhütte / Strahlegg and Meiersalp below the Schnebelhorn are recommended for food and drink.
From Schnebelhorn to Chrüzegg approx. 2 hours, to Atzmännig approx. 3 hours.
Hulftegg - Schnebelhorn
Hulftegg - Alp Ergeten nature reserve: approx. 1 hour 30 minutes there and back. A short, easy climb, otherwise flat. Also suitable for children. At Alp Ergeten there is an information room about the flora and fauna of this green jewel. Alp Ergeten is a pioneering operation for extensive summer grazing. Around half of the area is grazed or used as a hay meadow, the rest of the plot is wooded and for the most part is designated as a natural and special forest reserve. The species-rich flora includes over 370 species.
